Expect an evening of high-camp sass and art-house edge, with sensational performances by Violet Blonde, Mark Anthony, Lily Snatch Dragon, and Shanika Sunrise — alongside some international special guests. Throughout the night, enjoy DJ and soundtrack magic from Monopoly Phonic.

Expect drag, burlesque, mischief, and a nod to art, identity, and bold expression — all within the Whitworth’s walls. As Yuki Kihara: Darwin in Paradise Camp challenges colonial narratives and celebrates Indigenous queer worlds, this cabaret will channel that same fearless spirit.

We will also be joined by our sisters Rita Menu and Tess Tickle, stars of Yuki Kihara’s Darwin Drag film.

Tess Tickle is Drag Mother to Kita Mean & Anita Wiglit – Tess first started drag back in the 1990’s when she moved to Australia, where she went on to become the darling of Sydney’s competitive drag scene. Tess was a full-time, DIVA Award-winning showgirl at The Imperial Hotel, (Home of Priscilla) The Midnight Shift, Stonewall Hotel and Arq.

Rita Menu is a drag performer. She won Kita Mean and Anita Wigl’it‘s “Drag Wars” competition.Rita Menu competed on season 3 of RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under She is among the only contestants in the Drag Race franchise to eliminate two competitors in a single episode.Rita Menu is a lip-sync assassin and eliminated Ivory Glaze and Ivanna Drink in lip-syncs to “Murder on the Dancefloor” (2001) by Sophie Ellis-Bextor and “Holding Out for a Hero” by Adam Lambert, respectively.
